あけました

新年ということでリプサリスです。めでたい。
先日のR. prismaticaに続いて、R. ewaldianaも開花した。
うちでは初開花だ。

Rhipsalis ewaldiana

花の直径は2cm弱、
先日開花したR. prismaticaと比べて花弁が大きく目立つ。

果実はピンクになるらしく是非見てみたい。
ただ、今まで開花した花の雄しべには花粉が全く確認できないので
望みは薄いかもしれない。

種小名はErnst Ewaldさんへの献名。

以下メモ

W.Barthlott & N.P.Taylor(1995)¹によれば、
R. ewaldianaはR.mesembryanthemoidesと合わせて、
Rhipsalis亜属のMesembryanthemoides groupに区分されている。

近年のDNAとかのアレ²では、
R. ewaldianaはPhyllarthrorhipsalis亜属に分類され、
R. goebelianeに近縁とされている。

R. mesembryanthemoidesとは似つかないが、
R. micranthaやR. goebelianaみたいな扁平状かといわれると
何だかそこまでではないようにも思えて難しい。
